Giant Cranium is seeking a Contract Engineer to work on an upcoming Location-Based game for mobile phones. You must have a good understanding of location-based games and the skills to put that understanding into practice. This is a full time contract position, with an estimated duration of 3 months (and likely extension beyond that).


Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team to design, implement, and integrate the major features of the app

  • You will be part of a team, but we would need you to be capable of self-direction

  • This is a contract position, and we are a remote company, so you would need your own development environment

    • Test equipment can be provided if needed


Basic Qualifications:

  • High level experience in Unity required

  • Experience with online games highly desirable

    • PlayFab and Parse knowledge helpful

  • Preferred applicants will be able to bridge the divide between front end game systems and back end server systems

  • Must be a self starter, and you will be taking the reins of the tech integration to move the project forward

  • Ability to work in ambiguity and distill the appropriate information; create a plan of action; execute on the plan of action

  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Seattle area preferred, but fully remote is also possible

  • Full time contract position, lasting 3 months
